Lost Dog Found Safe at Atlanta Airport After 3 Weeks

A chihuahua mix named Maia, who went missing from her crate at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta three weeks ago, has been found safe and in good health near the North Cargo facilities. After a search led by local animal activist Robin Cole Allgood, Maia was located hiding beneath outdoor cargo racks. Allgood managed to grab the dog and it was taken to a veterinarian for evaluation. Delta Air Lines, which initially offered $1,800 as compensation, is working to reunite Maia with her owner, Paula Rodriguez, who had to return to the Dominican Republic without her pet due to missing Visa credentials.
