Search underway for missing swimmer after reported shark attack in California

The U.S. Coast Guard is assisting in the search for a missing swimmer off the coast of California following a reported shark attack near San Francisco. The incident was reported by a witness at Wildcat Beach in the Point Reyes National Seashore. While the shark attack has not been confirmed, Marin County firefighters stated that one swimmer was attacked and there was a large pool of blood in the water. Despite an extensive search, the missing swimmer, believed to be around 50 years old, has not been found. This incident could potentially be the first fatal shark attack in the Marin County area.
