Massive Pileups Cause Chaos on I-96 in Michigan.

A pileup involving 150 vehicles occurred on Interstate 96 in west Michigan due to white-out conditions caused by a lake-effect snow advisory. 86 cars were damaged and 66 slid off the road, but no serious injuries were reported. 16 people were transported to the hospital. The freeway was closed for several hours, but all lanes were reopened after the remaining vehicles were cleared. A warming and family reunification center was set up for those involved in the crash.
