Intel is set to release its 14th Gen i9 chip, which is touted as the "world's fastest" desktop processor. The i9-14900K offers up to 24 cores and 32 threads, with a promise of 6 GHz frequency. While the sustained performance is reserved for "Thermal Velocity Boost," Intel claims a 23% faster gaming speed compared to AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D and a 54% faster multi-tasking performance in After Effects and Premiere Pro. The new chips also come with integrated support for Wi-Fi 6/6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and Thunderbolt 4, with compatibility for upcoming Thunderbolt 5 wired connectivity. The i7-14700K will retail for $409, while the i9-14900K will cost $589.
