Google Gemini Launches Personal Intelligence to Tap Gmail, Photos and More

Alphabet's Google says its Gemini AI now features Personal Intelligence, a beta opt-in that can automatically access data from Gmail, Search, Photos and YouTube to tailor responses. Users choose which apps are connected and can exclude data histories if desired. The feature aims to make Gemini more personal, proactive, and useful, with rollout starting in the US for Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers before expanding to other countries and Gemini's free tier, and it includes guardrails and a feedback loop to address mistakes.
