"2028: The Year of Self-Healing Phone Screens"

Analyst firm CCS Insight predicts that self-healing screens for smartphones, which can fix minor damage such as scratches and dents, will be available within the next five years. The technology would use a nano-coating on the screen's surface that reacts with the air to create new material, filling in the marks. While it may not be able to repair large cracks, it could effectively remove everyday scratches caused by regular use. Previous attempts at self-healing screens have been underwhelming, but CCS Insight is confident that a phone company or glass maker will release this technology before 2028.
