Surgeon's Negligence Leads to Stage IV Cancer in Patient: Lawsuit

Dr. Michael Argenziano, a cardiac surgeon at Columbia-Presbyterian hospital in New York, is being sued for negligence by a patient who claims he failed to inform her about a cyst that later developed into stage IV pancreatic cancer. The patient, Jo-hanna Punzone, alleges that if she had known about the cancerous growth in 2021, she could have taken appropriate action. The cancer went undiagnosed and untreated, spreading to her liver and pelvic bones. Punzone is seeking unspecified damages for negligence. The hospital and other defendants have not yet commented on the lawsuit.
