"World of Warcraft Devs Unveil Epic Worldsoul Saga Plans and Future Vision"

Blizzard has announced that the next three expansions of World of Warcraft will be part of a larger narrative called The Worldsoul Saga. The decision to make it a trilogy was influenced by the upcoming 20th anniversary of the game and the creative input of Warcraft executive creative director Chris Metzen. The team drew inspiration from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in terms of establishing a committed and interconnected story. Each expansion will be a distinct piece but will tie together in an overarching story. The first expansion, The War Within, will be released in 2024, followed by Midnight and The Last Titan.
