With its ingenious concept of hopping between worlds contained in orbs, the game features immaculate level and puzzle design, a perfectly pitched difficulty curve, and unique boss battles. Despite its complexity, Cocoon keeps the controls simple, allowing players to focus on the visually and sonically interesting environments. While the storytelling is mostly conveyed through the environment, the game leaves some questions unanswered. Overall, Cocoon is a standout indie game with some of the best level and puzzle design in recent years.
