Unveiling the Fate of Sheikah Tech in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Hidemaro Fujibayashi, director of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, explained in an interview that the Sheikah technology from Breath of the Wild disappeared after the defeat of the Calamity, leaving it as a mystery in the world of Hyrule. The disappearance is believed to be related to the fulfillment of their role, and no one has explored the matter further. The new game builds on different civilizations, hence the absence of Sheikah Towers and Guardians.
