The Witcher 3 Reaches 50 Million Copies Sold, Joins Top-Selling Games List

CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt has sold over 50 million copies since its 2015 release, making it one of the top-selling video games of all time. The game is nearing other best-selling games such as Red Dead Redemption 2 and Mario Kart 8 + Deluxe. However, it is still behind Tetris, which is the best-selling video game of all time. CD Projekt Red reported a 19% YoY decline in revenues to $41.4 million, but also saw its net profit rise slightly YoY to $16.8 million in the first quarter. The company plans to release a new Witcher trilogy and a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077.
