Sledgehammer Games' Uncharted-inspired Call of Duty game canceled for WWII focus

Sledgehammer Games, the developer behind Call of Duty, considered creating an Uncharted-style game set in Cambodia but ultimately scrapped the project after creating a 15-minute demo. The studio also revealed that a sequel to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was in the works but never progressed beyond the prototype stage. Instead, Sledgehammer Games opted to develop Call of Duty: WWII. The current title being worked on by the studio is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, set to release on November 10th.
