"Red Cross Urges Gamers to Avoid War Crimes"

The International Committee of the Red Cross has partnered with Twitch streamers for its "Play by the Rules" event, which challenges gamers to not commit war crimes in popular shooters like Call of Duty. The event aims to educate players on the statutes of actual war and the rules that protect humanity on battlefields. As part of the event, streamers have played games while adhering to the Laws of Conflict, including PUBG Battlegrounds, Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone, Rainbow 6 Siege, and Escape From Tarkov. The ICRC has also created its own Fortnite mode to convey the rules of war in the context of competitive play.
