Hyperkin has announced the Mega 95, a handheld Sega Mega Drive that plays original cartridges and comes with a dock for TV connectivity and additional controllers. The portable system is based on the MegaRetroN HD Gaming Console and features a 5-inch display, 16:9/4:3 aspect ratio toggle, and a claimed 10-hour battery life. Pricing and release date are yet to be confirmed, but Hyperkin is known for its classic console emulators, and the Sega Mega Drive, known as the Sega Genesis in North America, was a popular 16-bit system in the late 80s and early 90s.
