Marvel Rivals Unveils Launch Characters and Exciting Roadmap

NetEase Games has announced that Marvel Rivals, a superhero-themed game similar to Overwatch, will launch on December 6, 2024, for PS5 with 33 playable characters, 27 of which have been revealed. The game will feature a shorter Season 0 called Dooms Rise before the full Season 1 in January 2025. It will include nine maps and promises no pay-to-win elements, with monetization through a Battle Pass and cosmetic items. The launch coincides with the release of another live-service game, Infinity Nikki.
