Larian Teases Exciting Future for Baldur's Gate 3 with Major Updates and New Subclasses

Larian Studios is moving forward with its next major RPG project, set for release in 2028, which has the development team excited despite still supporting Baldur's Gate 3. CEO Swen Vincke expressed enthusiasm for the new project while acknowledging the challenge of maintaining updates for BG3, which recently received a nomination for Best Community Support. The studio is not working on a BG3 expansion or sequel, hinting at a possible return to the Divinity series or a new IP. Meanwhile, BG3 continues to receive updates, including new endings and mod support.
