Indie game developers behind Slay the Spire and Darkest Dungeon express concerns about the diminishing impact of big deals such as Epic Game Store exclusives and Xbox Game Pass, with funding cuts and canceled talks becoming common. While these deals have provided a safety net for some indie developers, the scale of the deals is said to have significantly diminished, prompting a need for a new paradigm shift. To support the indie scene, developers are organizing a "Triple-I" showcase on April 10.
