UK video game and console sales rose in Q1 2023, with game sales up 1% and console hardware sales up 24.2%. The success was driven by Hogwarts Legacy and the PS5, which accounted for over half the market during the quarter. Resident Evil 4 Remake topped the charts in March, with 65% of sales on PlayStation platforms. Nintendo Switch sales were down over 25%, while Xbox Series S and X sales were down 18% for the first quarter. The Xbox Wireless Controller (Carbon Black) was the best-selling accessory by volume in March.
