Hidetaka Miyazaki named one of Time's 100 most influential people of 2023

Hidetaka Miyazaki, president of From Software and director of influential games such as Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Elden Ring, has been named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people of 2023. He is only the second video game developer to be featured on the list. The entry on Miyazaki was written by Naughty Dog co-president Neil Druckmann, who praised Miyazaki's attention to detail and ability to create tension, beauty, and surprises in his games. Elden Ring has sold over 20 million copies and won numerous Game of the Year awards. Its first expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, was announced earlier this year.
