Sales figures for Q1 2023 show that Xbox hardware sales are down 18% in the UK, leading to speculation about whether Microsoft will release a new Xbox model by the end of 2024 to compete with Sony's rumored PS5 revisions. While Xbox One S and Xbox One X were both released during the third year of their respective generations, the launch of two separate Xbox Series systems may delay the need for a revision. However, if Sony does release new PS5 models, it may be in Xbox's best interest to at least be working on a slim Xbox Series X revision.
