This follows a legal dispute with former publisher Nacon over copyright and withheld royalties, which led to the game being pulled from various platforms. The developer will also release a new DLC named Merciful Madness, compatible only with the new version of the game. Saves from the old PC version will not be compatible with the updated game, and players are advised to complete their playthroughs before February 28, 2024.
