Free Radical Design, Developer of TimeSplitters, Shuts Down Amidst Embracer Fallout

Free Radical Design, the studio behind the TimeSplitters series, appears to have shut down, as team members have taken to social media to mourn its closure. The studio's website displays a "404 Company Not Found" error message. The closure comes as no surprise, as parent company Embracer Group has already laid off 904 staff members this year. Free Radical Design was revived in 2021 and was working on a new TimeSplitters game, but its status is now unknown.
