French studio Savage Level is set to release a new turn-based RPG game, Flint: Treasure of Oblivion, inspired by the pirate world of Treasure Island and Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, featuring a deep story, isometric exploration, and BG3-style combat. Players take on the role of a member of Captain Flint’s crew, searching for treasure and recruiting characters in a historically accurate portrayal of the golden age of piracy. Scheduled for launch in Q4 of 2024, the game offers a mix of exploration, narrative, and tactical combat, aiming to challenge clichés of piracy portrayal in video games.
