The Final Fantasy 14 team is considering adding older Final Fantasy games to player housing or the Gold Saucer amusement park, similar to how Animal Crossing allows players to play old Nintendo classics in their homes. However, implementing the Pixel Remaster series into FF14 has proven complicated due to middleware issues. Director and producer Naoki Yoshida expressed interest in the idea and even joked about hiring super genius programmers to make it happen. While Yoshida mentioned the possibility of offering some games for free, he also acknowledged the need to consider the business aspect of such a feature.
