"Exploring Pokémon Go Routes: Rewards and Risks"

Niantic is introducing Routes in Pokémon Go, allowing players to create and share their own paths of travel while exploring the world and earning rewards. Routes will be generated using "geodata objects" and will be reviewed by moderators before being made discoverable to other players. The feature aims to elevate exploration and provide the community with a way of traveling together with "inside knowledge" from those who know the Routes they are sharing. No release date has been announced yet.
