EA Sports FC 24: A Rebranded Soccer Video Game with Sims-like Player Faces and a Horrifying Cover

EA Sports has unveiled FC 24, its first soccer video game without the FIFA branding after failing to reach a new licensing agreement with the world soccer governing body last year. The rebranding was announced in May 2021, and the game is set to feature more than 300 licensing agreements with clubs and leagues internationally. The trailer for FC 24, narrated by Daniel Kaluuya, showcased past and present soccer stars and a full gameplay trailer is expected to be released soon. The split from FIFA marks the end of a nearly 30-year partnership, and it remains to be seen how the rebranding will impact sales for EA Sports.
