Diablo IV Season 1 Requires Fresh Characters for Battle Pass Progression

Diablo IV players will have to create a new character for each season to take part in its battle passes, according to producer Rod Fergusson. This means players won't be able to use the same character they played through the main game with when playing through seasonal content. While this is similar to previous content updates in the Diablo series, some players are criticizing the game's long grind for XP, which makes creating new characters difficult. Diablo IV's first season will begin in July.
