Developers Turn to Torrents for Game Distribution Amid Legal Issues

Despite legal issues and a cease and desist letter, Ironmace is going ahead with a playtest of their upcoming dungeon crawler game, Dark and Darker, via torrents available on the game's Discord server until April 19. Ironmace is currently in a legal battle with Nexon after Korean officials searched their offices for stolen code and assets. The game was delisted from Steam, and an Ironmace developer's GoFundMe to help with legal fees was reportedly removed after raising $46,000 in less than an hour.
