"Colin Kaepernick to Grace Cover of New NFL Game, Challenging Madden's Dominance"

A new NFL video game called Wild Card Football has been announced, set to launch a few weeks after Madden. Developed by Saber Interactive, the game features active NFL players like Colin Kaepernick, Nick Chubb, TJ Watt, and Aaron Donald. While it doesn't have the official NFL licensing, it does have an NFLPA licensing deal, allowing it to include real players. The game offers arcade-style gameplay, customizable team jerseys and logos, and the ability to activate in-game power-ups called Wild Cards. It supports single-player, local multiplayer, and online multiplayer with cross-play across platforms. The involvement of 2K in the project is unclear, as they previously published the sequel to NBA Playgrounds but Saber claims ownership of the Playground Sports series. Wild Card Football is set to release on October 10.
