CDPR Layoffs Prompt Unionization of Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 Staff

Employees at CD Projekt Red, the studio behind Cyberpunk 2077, have joined a union in response to three rounds of layoffs this year. The union aims to improve workplace standards and amplify the voices of developers. The redundancies caused stress and insecurity among employees, leading to the formation of the union. CD Projekt Red staff have joined the nationwide union, OZZ IP, while overseas staff are not covered. The company's management has yet to respond to the union. CD Projekt Red has recently released the expansion Phantom Liberty for Cyberpunk 2077 and has several other games in development, including a new Witcher trilogy and a mysterious new IP.
