Bandai Namco addresses absence of English voice acting in Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster

Bandai Namco has confirmed that the upcoming Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster for the Nintendo Switch will not include English voice acting. Producer Koji Nakajima explained that adjustments were made to the game's expressions to match the current era, leading to discrepancies that made the decision to exclude English VOs necessary. The lack of English voice acting has sparked speculation among fans, but it appears that rights issues were not the cause. The remastered versions of the GameCube RPGs will be released on September 14, 2023.
