Studio Wildcard has announced that the release of Ark 2 has been delayed to 2024 due to the need for more time to leverage the Unreal Engine 5. The original game's official servers will shut down soon, but a new version of the game called Ark Survival Ascend will be released in August 2021. The new version will include improvements such as cross-platform multiplayer, cross-platform modding, and premium mods. The final content update for the original Ark: Survival Evolved will be released in June 2021, and official servers will shut down alongside the launch of Survival Ascended.
