Spotify is shutting down Heardle, the song-guessing game it acquired last summer, on May 5th. The game was seen as a music discovery tool, but its popularity had already tapered off before the acquisition. Some players were frustrated with the game's repetitive song choices, and Spotify reportedly didn't have a dedicated team working on Heardle.
