Spotify drops Heardle acquisition within a year.

Spotify is shutting down Heardle, the music game it acquired in July of last year, on May 5th. The game, which was inspired by Wordle, allowed users to guess the name of a song as they listened to progressively longer snippets of the track. Spotify says it made the decision to shut down Heardle after careful consideration as it focuses on other features for music discovery. Users have until May 4th to screenshot their stats if they want to keep them as a memory of the short-lived game.
