U.S. consulting firm Greylock McKinnon Associates suffered a data breach in May 2023, resulting in the theft of 341,650 Social Security numbers. The breach was disclosed on Maine’s government website, with the firm attributing the incident to an unspecified cyberattack. The stolen personal information, obtained by the U.S. Department of Justice as part of civil litigation, includes names, dates of birth, home addresses, medical and health insurance information, and Medicare claim numbers.
