Electronic Arts undergoes major restructuring, splits into two divisions.

EA has announced a restructuring that will split the company into two separate organizations: EA Sports and EA Entertainment. The latter will be responsible for games leadership and has been renamed from EA Games. The move is intended to give studio leaders more creative ownership and financial accountability. Laura Miele has been appointed president of EA Entertainment, while Cam Weber is president of EA Sports. The new leadership teams will work with their respective studios over the coming months to implement the changes.
