Activision enlists Queen's former lawyer to appeal UK's block of Microsoft merger.

Activision has hired Lord David Pannick, a prominent UK lawyer who previously represented Queen Elizabeth II and Boris Johnson, to lead the appeal against the UK's CMA decision to halt Microsoft's planned acquisition of Activision/Blizzard. Microsoft also plans to proceed with a parallel appeal with UK lawyer Daniel Beard. The appeals will be heard by the Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT), which will decide if the CMA's decision was lawful.
