BMW Motorrad has unveiled the new R 1300 GS, featuring a new boxer engine, reduced weight, and improved suspension. The bike boasts a more compact design, with a gearbox located under the engine and a new camshaft drive arrangement. The two-cylinder boxer engine produces an output of 107 kW (145 hp) and a maximum torque of 149 Nm. The suspension has been optimized with a steel main frame and a die-cast aluminum rear frame, providing greater steering precision and ride stability. The R 1300 GS also offers new electronic Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (DSA) and adaptive vehicle height control as optional equipment.
