Across two heats the Dark Horse leads after the braking zone, wins by two car-lengths in the first race and by a clear margin in the second, aided by a better power-to-weight ratio (5.09 vs 7.49 lbs/hp). Quarter miles run 11.4s at 129 mph for the Mustang vs 11.6s at 124 mph for the M4; best overall times 32.9s vs 33.7s. The Mustang also costs less: about $90,111 tested with the supercharger kit, versus $108,945 for the BMW.
