"Hyundai Nexo 2026: Paving the Way for a Fuel Cell Future"

Hyundai announced at CES the development of two new hydrogen production processes, Waste-to-Hydrogen and Plastic-to-Hydrogen, and confirmed the release of the next-generation Nexo fuel-cell SUV in 2025. The new Nexo, influenced by the Tucson and Hyundai Ioniq 7 electric SUV, is expected to feature improved fuel cell specifications, including an increased range of 497 miles. Despite being a small segment, the Nexo currently dominates the hydrogen SUV market, with Hyundai addressing concerns about the scarcity of refueling stations for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
