"University of Michigan Introduces Alcohol Sales at Crisler Center and Yost Arena"

The University of Michigan Athletics Department has been approved for state liquor licenses and will begin offering the sale of alcohol at events in Crisler Center and Yost Arena, starting with a wrestling meet against Iowa on Feb. 2. The first men's basketball game with alcohol sales will be on Feb. 3, and the first ice hockey game with alcohol sales will be on Feb. 9. The implementation of alcohol sales follows bipartisan legislation enacted last summer, and regulatory features will be in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all fans.
