Underdogs Prevail: Surprising Results at NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Katelyn Tuohy, the collegiate record holder in the mile and 3000 for NC State, finished 7th in the women's 1500m at the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Austin, as Harvard's Maia Ramsden won in a convincing upset. Tuohy had taken it out hard but faded in the final 100m, while Ramsden stuck to her game plan and closed hard for the win. Tuohy was seeking to become the first woman to win NCAA titles in the 1500 and 5000 on the same day but has since scratched from the 5000m.
