Avalanche's Landeskog undergoes cartilage transplant.

Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog will miss the 2023-24 NHL season after undergoing a cartilage transplant in his right knee. The 30-year-old forward missed the entirety of the 2022-23 season after knee surgery and was ruled out for the playoffs. Landeskog's absence was felt as the Avalanche lost in the first round to the Seattle Kraken. The team hopes this more extreme approach will allow him to get past the knee injury that has sidelined him.
