Space Balloon 'Spaceship Neptune' Begins Unmanned Test Flight

Space Perspective is advancing its Spaceship Neptune balloon and capsule for commercial flights, launching from a floating spaceport at sea. The innovative system uses a complex roller mechanism aboard the MS Voyager to deploy the balloon, which gently ascends to 100,000 feet. The ship, a former offshore supply vessel, has been refitted with luxury amenities and advanced technology for safe and sustainable space travel.
