A coyote was spotted in Philadelphia's Logan section, captured on video by a local resident. Authorities in the area have also reported capturing and relocating a coyote that had snatched a terrier dog. The director of communications for the Schuylkill Center Wildlife Clinic notes that as development pressures increase on their habitat, coyotes are becoming more visible. Residents are advised to secure pet food, bring pets indoors at night, and secure garbage to keep coyotes away. Officials recommend reporting sightings only if a coyote is acting erratically or strangely.
