Alaskan Bear Cubs Wander 3,600 Miles to Florida

Two Kodiak bear cubs from southern Alaska were found wandering on a rural Florida roadway, more than 3,600 miles away from home. They were taken to a secure facility after escaping from a nearby enclosure and being housed by a local resident. The resident now faces violations, and it's unclear when the bears will be transported back to Alaska. The Kodiak bears are a subspecies of brown and grizzly bears, with only about 3,500 in existence, and there have been no additional reports of them wandering through Florida's wilderness.
