"Winter Storm Wreaks Havoc: U.S. Grapples with Flooding, Tornadoes, Power Outages"

A massive winter storm swept across the central and eastern United States, leaving widespread damage and outages from flooding, tornadoes, and strong winds. The storm caused at least six deaths in five states and left over 400,000 customers without power. Numerous instances of flooding were reported from the northern Gulf Coast to New England, with major to historic flooding in coastal locations and tidal tributaries. The storm also produced 25 tornadoes and over 2,000 reports of damaging winds, as well as prolific rainfall and significant snowfall in various states.
