"Winter Storm Causes Widespread Power Outages in Western Washington"

High winds in Western Washington have left over 21,000 Puget Sound Energy customers without power, with the majority of outages in the South Sound area. Additional outages have been reported for Seattle City Light and Tacoma PUD customers. Emergency crews have been responding to numerous calls for downed trees and power lines, while a blizzard warning has been issued for the passes due to high winds and reduced visibility.
