Severe Weather Threatens Florida and East Coast with Storms and Heavy Rain

A strong system passing over Florida overnight through Sunday morning brings a risk of isolated severe storms with damaging winds and a possibility of tornadoes. Rainfall has already exceeded 4 inches in some areas, with more than 6 inches possible before the region dries out on Sunday. Flood advisories have been issued for several counties, including Orange, Seminole, Brevard, Osceola, and Volusia. The rain will taper off by morning, but windy and cooler weather is expected.
