Severe storms cause school delays and closures across multiple regions.

Several school districts in Georgia have closed or delayed their start times due to severe storms and flooding. The severe storm risks are now lower across north Georgia, but waves of heavy rain and isolated storms will continue to move across metro Atlanta especially the south side on Monday. Lamar County and Meriwether County schools are closed, while Monroe County, Pike County, and Thomaston-Upson County schools are delayed by 2 hours. Troup County schools are also closed due to heavy rainfall and potential flooding.
